it is a wonderfull experience rehearsing with Peter and Juri. In a couple of days I 've learned all possibillities of conducting the different parts of the requiem, as well as the percussion possibillities. Very exciting to meet so many good friends from different parts of the world.
I hope to take back home the warmth,fiendship and knoledge to do a great job in Suriname.Thans Oxfam Novib ,Peter and everyone involved in this wonderfull project ,thanks fellow conducters.

the requiem itself was a great thing, good idea, en a wonderful initiative to make it sound around the world.
as for the so mcalled conductor in suriname mr. williams.... I'm not so sure about his skills, he might need to attend some classes in REAL conducting. it did't seem like he knew what he was doing, and I even think that he gladly relied on the expirience of the musicians playing the percussion part.
